Gregg L. Boyd II

Gregg L. Boyd II was born in Washington, D.C., but raised in Seat Pleasant, Maryland. He graduated from Largo High School. He has a passion for basketball and helping others that dates back to childhood. These two passions just so happen to go hand-in-hand. Most basketball teams have a “shot caller,” but he prefer to collaborates with teammates and make the play when it counts. He is a natural-born leader both on and off the court. He grew up as a participant in his father’s program Men with Vision Association. This program seeks to give young men a sense of discipline as well as give men a head start to a bright future. As an adult, he has been given more responsibility within the program. He currently serves as a project manager. His job is to recruit, organize, and motivate participants. Currently , he is a senior, majoring in Business  Management at Tuskegee University. He was awarded a basketball scholarship and has maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA. His academic achievement earned him a spot on the Dean's List as well as membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success. Meanwhile, his rigor on the court earned him titles including 2020 SIAC Player of the Year, 2020 BCSN player of the year, 2020 BCSN First Team All American, and 2021 preseason player of the year. He has also cultivated many meaningful relationships with professors, coaches, and other staff members who helped him throughout his college journey. Because of these experiences, he aspires to work diligently as an HBCU supporter. He looks forward to venturing into entrepreneurship and giving back to my hometown as well as Tuskegee.
